These beauties are handmade on Kauaʻi by Diane of Weslyn. The maker gathers the lauhala she uses to make them. She then strips the thorns, softens the leaves, and cuts them to the sizes she needs. Lauhala is an important symbol of Hawaiian identity and culture.
If you find one you love, don't stall. The demand for lauhala pāpale is constant.
